The 2023 Chung-Ang University (CAU) Leaders Forum was held on February 27th in Building 310. CAU administration and student representatives had a time to communicate about the development of the university through the 'Leaders Forum', which was entirely held face-to-face for the first time in four years. The Leaders Forum, which celebrated its 8th anniversary this year, is an event that is conducted to facilitate communication between CAU and its student council. By holding an event in February, before the start of the Spring 2023 term, new student representatives who began their term in December 2022 were encouraged. The Leaders Forum is held every year with an opening ceremony, a welcoming speech by the president, sharing achievements by vice presidents, explaining the CAU 2030 vision, and talking with the presidents and faculty. What has changed from last year is that the Leaders Forum was held face-to-face. Last year, due to COVID-19, only some of the student representatives attended in person, and the rest of the students participated online through zoom. However, this year, about 180 students came to the forum in person and had a Q&A session with the university presidents and professors. Among the many programs conducted through the Leaders Forum, the 'Conversation with the President' session was special in that it allowed both the presidents and student representatives to discuss the current situation of CAU. The first part was to answer pre-selected questions, followed by the second part for free discussion. President Park Sang-Gue said, "Only this year, the fourth year since I took office as president, I was able to have a meeting with all of you face-to-face. We will work hard to create supports that are available for students attending CAU,” and continued by explaining his opinions and goals for the Leaders Forum event.
