New facilities have been opened for the convenience of students and faculty at Chung-Ang University (CAU) Seoul Campus. On March 2nd, Samsung Business Solutions' POD (Print-On-Demand Book Publishing) opened on the 4th basement floor of Centennial Hall (Building 310), and 'ING', a cafe on the 2nd floor of College of Medicine 2, began operating. Also, the bakery 'Bread&co.' opened on the B1 floor of the College of Pharmacy / R&D Center. CAU searched for companies to replace several facilities that were closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in this process, three companies were selected through official bidding. The president of the General Affairs Team of the Seoul Campus said, "We tried to move in companies that are in the same field as the companies that existed" Also, regarding POD, he explained the entry process by saying, "Students tend to use tablets or laptops rather than paper, so there were some difficulties of choosing this facility to be at CAU." As to the settlements of convenience facilities, Student A from the Department of English Language and Literature expressed positive opinions, saying, “It is good to have a meal alone at the new 'Bread&co.; and it is also nice to have a space to use during break time. I think I will use it very often.” Lastly, the president of the General Affairs Team mentioned his idea that “If CAU students do not use those a lot, it will be difficult for companies to survive. I hope that students will use many of the convenience facilities on campus, even for their own convenience."
