On May 3rd, the “Miracle Day” event was held at a regular season game between the Doosan Bears and Hanwha Eagles at Seoul Sports Complex Baseball Stadium. Miracle Day is an event in which all members of Chung-Ang University (CAU), including students, professors, and staff, can participate. Miracle Day has been held since 2016, but was stopped due to COVID-19 and has resumed as a face-to-face event for the first time in 4 years. Tickets and food were distributed at 5:10 p.m., and entry began at 5:30 p.m. About 3,000 CAU students came to watch the game. CAU President Park Sang-gue threw the first pitch. Members of CAU, who were seated in the first base outfield, enthusiastically cheered for the Doosan Bears until the end of the game. The match was won by Hanwha Eagles, 8:3, and Doosan Bears lost. President Park Sang-gue said, “It was even more special because the event was held jointly by Doosan Bears and CAU. I think students may have grown in their sense of school spirit in the process of watching and cheering for the baseball game together. We plan to continue to hold Miracle Day events together with the Doosan Bears in the future, where people can freely enjoy themselves while putting down the stress of school works.”
