In the blink of an eye, we arrived in a blue June. The moment I started working as a cub reporter at the Herald seems like yesterday, but it has already been a year since I was appointed editor-in-chief. When I think about the changes our members have made together, the first thing that comes to my mind is that we endeavored to make Herald a better newspaper. As readers may have felt while being connected with us, CAH has undergone many innovations last year.

As the entire school changed to face-to-face classes, we were able to host events including the Essay Contest last November and the Hello Herald Radio every Tuesday morning. We also made changes in our article and implemented them. Every inch of our changes included our genuine drops of sweat and tear.

The most important thing that made all of this happen was the support of our reporters and editor. Until I reached here, sometimes I felt as if the concerns that I have would eat me up. It was the warmth of the people of Herald that encouraged me to get back on my feet. Beside us were the seniors who laid the foundation for CAH to remain a historic university newspaper and a foreign professor who always gave us thorough views. I would like to take this opportunity to express great gratitude toward them. Most of all, I am grateful that we had readers who read our magazine with love and consistency.

As a journalist myself, I realized that the power of the written word is strong. I still remember the support and feedback I received from people who read my articles and those of my fellow reporters. Naturally, as time went on, I thought a lot about the role of a university newspaper. As an editor-in-chief, I wanted our writing to come alive and act as a clue, and encourage the readers to have a meaningful experience in college life. Now, I just hope that we were able to make our readers feel happy, empathize, and ponder deeply while reading during past year. I will go on my way with the belief that our convictions have reached our readers.

I hope that peace and happiness will dwell in the lives of our readers. It was a true honor to work as a member of CAH for 2 years. Leaving the door of B201, I look forward to your continued interest and love for CAH :)
