On July 5th, the Chung-Ang University (CAU) Office of International Affairs visited Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to promote diversity among international students. Over the course of three days, they engaged in discussions and collaborations with universities and institutions involved in attracting international students from Ulaanbaatar. This visit enabled the Office of International Affairs to discuss the possibility of establishing an articulation agreement with Ulaanbaatar International University. Furthermore, they visited institutions involved in Korean language education, including the Ulaanbaatar Sejong Institute, to promote CAU and exchange opinions on effective strategies for attracting international students. Mongolia currently ranks fourth in terms of the number of undergraduate international students studying in South Korea and is experiencing a trend of increasing international student numbers. Their ability to quickly acquire the Korean language has received praise, with their high vocabulary and pronunciation skills impressing observers. As a result of this trip, the Office of International Affairs plans to actively attract Mongolian international students to diversify the nationalities of foreign students at our university. To achieve this goal, they will continue to pursue initiatives such as establishing articulation agreements and hosting local information sessions.
