Chung-Ang University (CAU) has been selected for the government-led START-UP Co-Op University for Transition of edu (SCOUT). It is a specialized entrepreneurship leading university project with a focus on experimental laboratories, providing a significant opportunity to further strengthen the entrepreneurship education and support systems. CAU was recently chosen as the leading university for the metropolitan area (Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi) for "SCOUT" organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation. For this project, Chung-Ang University, along with a consortium consisting of Korea University, Ewha Womans University, Inha University, and Tech University of Korea, has been selected as the leading university. Starting from 2023 to 2027, CAU will receive government support for five years. CAU, as the leading university of this consortium, plans to offer opportunities for entrepreneurial talents to enhance practical experience and actual field skills through collaboration with partner universities and the integration of entrepreneurship education programs and infrastructure. Various entrepreneurship education including mentoring, coaching programs, diffusion of foundational entrepreneurship capabilities, and support for commercialization will be implemented. University President Park Sang-gyu stated, "Our university is currently providing support for entrepreneurship through various means, including the Campus Town project and agreements with local governments. Taking the selection for government financial support programs as a catalyst, we will strive to establish a more robust entrepreneurship education and support system."
