In July, Chung-Ang University (CAU) and the Seoul Digital Foundation held a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony for realizing Seoul Smart City. Through this agreement, CAU and the Seoul Digital Foundation have committed to maintaining close cooperation in exchanging the latest policy and technological information, conducting joint research and service development, and co-hosting seminars. Specifically, in the education field, they will operate educational programs such as 'Creating the Smart Seoul Ecosystem' and 'fostering 100,000 Start Citizens'. Plans are in place to jointly plan and operate tailored programs for all 25 districts of Seoul. Collaboration has also been established for research planning of the Seoul Smart City Project, digital innovation industry activities, career development, and more, all based on ICT technology to transform Seoul into a world-leading smart city. Various collaborative projects, including co-hosting seminars, are also planned. Currently, CAU is engaged in various educational and human resources development projects such as the AI Graduate School Support Project. Also, it is continuously generating outstanding research results related to eco-friendly energy to address environmental pollution issues of smart cities across diverse academic disciplines. Therefore, this MOU with the Seoul Digital Foundation is expected to provide significant assistance for the future implementation of Seoul Smart City. University President Park Sang-gyu stated, "Combining our university's diverse education and research capabilities, including ICT technology, with the financial and material support and information sharing of the Seoul Digital Foundation, we anticipate laying the foundation to make Seoul a 'sustainable smart city leading the world'."
