Firstly, Rudolph is an endangered species that should be protected, not labored. Rudolph belongs to the 'Lapland Reindeer' that inhabit the northernmost part of Finland. Even the birthing period of reindeer overlaps with the Christmas period, from winter to spring. Most of the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh are female reindeer. Only female reindeer still have antlers at Christmas; the males of the species shed their headgear before mid-December Therefore, it is unreasonable to force high-intensity labor without protecting reindeer that need to give birth in a situation where reindeer are endangered.

Secondly, making Rudolph, who was marginalized by the surrounding reindeer, pull from the front seat of the sled is equivalent to workplace bullying among animals. When reindeer pull a sleigh that Santa is riding, the physically hardest place is right at the front. The reindeer running at the front has to deal with the tremendous air resistance that occurs when the sled runs fast. Making Rudolph pull a heavy sled from the front because of the characteristics through evolution is part of workplace bullying.

Thirdly, making the diurnal Rudolph run all night is also inefficient for Santa's task of delivering gifts quickly. If a diurnal animal exercises at night, it can cause various problems in the reindeer's health and hormonal status. The most representative is that the sleep pattern changes and they cannot get enough sleep. This can have a negative impact on the physiological and neurological health of the animal.
