When you think of Christmas, what comes to your mind first? Gifts? Decorating the tree? Christmas carols? Everything that comes to your mind is probably related to Santa Claus. Santa Claus is one of the iconic symbols of Christmas who delivers gifts to good children on Christmas Eve, and can be seen in many carols, such as "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town." However, behind Santa Claus's fame, there is a tremendous assistant, and that's Rudolph. Rudolph is Santa's reindeer with a red nose, another iconic mascot of Christmas who helps deliver gifts and pull Santa's sleigh. Without Rudolph, the Santa we know might not be able to deliver all of our gifts. But have you ever thought about the strenuous work intensity that Rudolph goes through to deliver the gifts to the entire world in just one day? To explore this, Let's read some opinions of Herald reporters and students from Chung-Ang University.

A survey was conducted with 330 students from Chung-Ang University on the given topic. The results indicated diverse opinions. Some opposed the topic, asserting that the labor intensity for Rudolph is unattainable, irrespective of welfare or self-realization. Also, there were also opinions in support of reducing Rudolph's labor intensity, citing either scientific reasons. However, when comprehensively evaluating the quality of Rudolph's life and the entire year, there were also many opinions stating that the current labor intensity is appropriate. Thus, opinions on both sides were diverse. Most of the students were positive about the 1 day of work and 364 days of rest, mainly because they felt that they were spending 365 days of their lives studying and doing assignments. Only Rudolph will know which is the right answer. Either way, let's express our gratitude to Santa Claus and Rudolph (and the other reindeer in the team) for continuing their work without a strike in 2023 and fully enjoy a happy and warm Christmas!
