Professor Lee Chan-kyu was honored with a commendation from the Minister of Education during the '2023 Humanities and Social Sciences Integrated Achievement Dissemination Center Achievement Presentation,' organized by the Ministry of Education. This commendation recognizes Professor Lee's contributions to academic advancement through activities such as journal evaluations, various humanities-related policy projects, and the execution of national financial support initiatives. Currently serving as the director of the Humanities Content Research Institute, the only domestic artificial intelligence humanities research institution established through the Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) support project, Professor Lee plays a clearly pivotal role in the organization. He is actively engaged as the chairman of the Humanities Korea Research Institute Council, a consortium of participating universities in the HK+ project, working to disseminate the project's achievements and enhance research exchanges. In response to the changing landscape brought by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Professor Lee emphasized the importance of exploring how the humanities will be applied in the era of continually advancing science and technology. He highlighted the need to understand and interpret the cultural heritage of humanities in the age of artificial intelligence.
