1. I heard you made a project about the SAVE TIBET FESTIVAL, which held in near the Hong Ik University. Recently what meaning did this event have?

Tibet buddhism, Dalai-Rama, holy mountain of snow, a plateau of Tibet. these notions usually come to across the mind of Koreans when they hear the word 'Tibet' in general. The main images of Tibet are mystery and some of esoteric, peaceful, even holy reigning region.
However, we must think that this is not the reality of Tibet. So we would like to demonstrate the dark reality that we've lost our holy land over 50 years, and over 300 thousands of my brothers are isolated from their hometown. They live as  refugees, with  no where to go in the world of reality.
Some of brothers even fought against China for the restoration of the holy land and the retrieval of the history of Tibet with their whole life.  These are the reasons why we made this festival. In other words, we would like to show the current reality of Tibet from it.

2. The 'SAVE TIBET FESTIVAL' was held under the sponsorship of the 'ROCPA'. What is the function of 'ROGPA'?

'Rogpa.com' (internet site) is an organization that is made for helping Tibetan refugees to stand on their own feet. In Dharamsala, there is an Indian refugee government of Tibet. We are planning to make a pre-kindergarten & Tibetan silver community.
And of course, it planned the 'Save Tibet festival' and 'Walk for Tibet' in Korea to show the reality of Tibet refugees and to get back.

3. After China occupied Tibet, several million Tibetans who wanted the independence of Tibet were victims of a large-scale massacre. Even now, does China commit acts of brutality (the genocide) to Tibetan as they did?

As an easy example, there is Tenzin Delek Rinpiche, the Abi-Guru (father monk) who has reputation, and he was excused by the government of China as a Nailed-Bom-Terrorist. So there were world-wide 'Save Abi Guru' movements, west to east, east to west.
As a reason for the activity for independence, a great number of Tibetans were jailed, killed and tortured by China, even now.

4. What do you think about today's problem of Tibet's independence? Why is China threatening the independence of Tibet?

There are some of aspects that we can see. First, Tibet is a strategic military spot, facing India, Nepal, etc. Next, uranium, the main material of atomic generating weapon, the so called unclear weapon, is largely fielded in the land of Tibet. Finally, if China allow the independence of Tibet, the government of China's repression of minority races would fall down. Then, most  minority races will revolt.

5. How can people give help for the independence of Tibet?

Frankly speaking, China is a powerful nation. And her power is getting larger and greater. So it is very hard to become independent from China. It's a melting-potted situation. In addition, non-violence, peaceful actions to get aim is outside. However, if language, religion and culture are preserved, we will see the day that they live with happiness of joy in their forefather's land.
What we can do is to assist them in these ways. A direct way is to  be a member of community .aid-Including Tibet N.G.O.or rogpa.com You can help both materially and spiritually.

6. What is the reason why Jammyang and bbama's pilgrimage of Korean territory that from south heanam to north imjingak contains?

As I said to you above, the images of Tibet that falsely beautified are not the real Tibet. That's the reason that I want to evoke in this journey. I wanted the people of Korea to see the reality of Tibet. Even now, there are over 4000 fathers and brothers, mothers, sisters, kids who go across Himalayas mountain every year to save their life.
And I just eagerly wanted to announce this real beautiful fact rather than the nice picture of the Tibetan land so called 'Holy Plateau'.
