Thank you for your concern and love for 'The Chung-Ang Herald (CAH)' once again. The Chung-Ang Herald was first issued on May 20, 1957 and has kept its tradition and frame as the pioneer of Campus English Newspaper. CAH is published monthly except during vacations for Chung-Ang University students. By the end of this magazine (No. 445), I come to retire from my position as the editor in chief and CAH has time to reinforce itself during this summer vacation. When I look back upon past university life, I think it can be decorated for yourself. There is freedom on campus. Everything on campus depends on yourself and the choice is yours. After all, I chose 'CAH' as a part of my campus life and became to be in this place. At first, the life of CAH was not easy to me. It was like a life another space in campus that guarantees our freedom. A crowded schedule and mission that I must solve made me confused. However, I could learn not only English writing but also life in society and having much time with seniors. As an International reporter, I had more interest in International issues and experienced various cultures from the interviews with foreigners. Of course, it is not easy to express my thinking in front of other people. So, reporter has to know more about the accidents than others and the article requires logical structure. When I open the magazine and look at my name at the end of my article, the feeling is beyond all description. It seemed that this fascination brought me to this place. As an editor in chief of campus English newspaper that is only made by student reporters' efforts, I learned many things that I could not get in common campus life. Of course, there are also many unskilled aspects. However, I am happy to come to finish CAH life meaningfully with other reporters', seniors' and friend's help. For the last time, I have had an effort in these three aspects. First, I changed the strict discipline had existed between seniors and juniors for a more convenient and friendly atmosphere like family. Second, I devoted myself to inform CAH inside and outside of campus by holding the English Speech Contest, the Essay Contest and the 48th anniversary during my term. Third, even if there are incomplete aspects still, our reporters did our best for serving a good quality magazine for Chung-Ang University students every time. Now, I can not stay in CAH as editor in chief any more, I would like to stay as a reader who watch in silence and can be a wooden support in one side and a sharp critic in other side. I desire that 'The Chung-Ang Herald' will be able to expend their wings as large as possible that have been folded for a much bigger leap
